It took me five attempts to post a message in a forum. It would simply time out........

The connection has timed out

The server at otr.154.ca is taking too long to respond.

Appreciate your diligence keeping our homeypage up @ running, Phinny Cool

Well Spidy,

The problem is that the big players are making billions and billions a year from everyone that is paying to link up now and they aren't even trying to improve the system. At least not from where I sit.

Isn't this sorta the same thing that the phone industry did? They just kept running with the same old, same old until they looked out of the window one day and saw that everyone was using a new service?

Oh well, at least we can trust Phineus to find us a good home. It really is too bad that we have to do this considering that this place looked good on the surface but then you get past the glossy paint and it seems to be rusty.

For me it goes from flamin' fast to connection error within minutes. And it seems to have no relation to the number of members who are active at the time. Sounds like a server issue to me.

I have confirmed a new account with the same company that houses jolly boy sites gildy.com and smallhouse.com. It will take a day or so to set up. At the same time, we will probably use a slightly new address too. Not to worry. I'll keep everybody tuned in. Thanks for continued patience while I work through the details.

Phiney....yeah, and maybe you can tell us what we can expect from this new location Very Happy As it is, now, I can't tell if 154 will be "on", or "off". Do you mean that Jolly Boys wasn't handled by this current one?

The shows hosted in the Jolly Boys are on a different server/site
Jolly Boys just has links to the shows.

Correct. The file downloads that are offered each week in jolly boys are not located on the 154 server. Those files are on two different servers hosted by one company - a different company than the 154 guys. Since that company has shown themselves to be friendly and reliable, I have opted to place our forum with them as well... on yet a third server. They have earned the opportunity and offer the features we need, so it seemed the reasonable thing to do. **fingers crossed it lasts a good long time**
